Customer Mandate:
A leading Indian multinational storage battery manufacturer and life insurance company was in search of the role of Legal Head who would report to the President – Legal & Company Secretary and would be responsible for protecting all company patents, trademarks, and copyrights of the organization. They were looking for someone who not only has experience in core litigation & drafting skills but can also deal with Intellectual Property matters and real estate matters.
Solution:
The team focused on candidates from the Manufacturing sector who would have the ability to represent the Company at the court hearings and tribunals. In the first stage, 15 candidates with 15 years of experience were shortlisted. Out of them, the candidate who was finalized for the role used to work as a Senior Legal Counsel in an Indian multinational steel-making company. The candidate was responsible for managing cases under arbitration, real estate and property matters, labour, consumer, FSSA, property, IR, competition, etc.
